Everything Ritual Runway does.
Everything the app does, from the daily number it all revolves around to every optional module. Each one runs on the same paycheck math, so nothing forces a second mental model. Try the live demo or read how paycheck budgeting works.
The core
Safe to spend
The number the whole app exists for: what's safe to spend today. This paycheck's income minus the bills it owes, divided by the days until your next deposit. One figure to check at the register, not a category spreadsheet to reconcile.
Guided payday flow
A short guided flow each time you get paid: confirm what landed, update your balance, cover the bills this check owes, see your fresh number. A few taps, the same steps every time, so the number stays honest without an hour of reconciling.
Spending pace
See whether you're ahead, on track, or over pace for this pay period. The number adjusts automatically when you're spending faster than planned, so the daily figure is always honest, not aspirational.
The math runs itself
Enter a bill once and pick its frequency. Ritual Runway works out what it costs each paycheck, so you don't divide weekly rent by 4.33 in your head.
Plan ahead
Next Chapter
Model a what-if next to your current budget: any change to your income or bills. See which bills stop fitting and how many months of cushion you have before anything changes. Stress-test the plan before you need it.
For income that isn't steady
Variable income
Income that swings month to month? Enter a low, average, and high. Your runway anchors to the low number, so a slow month never blindsides you, and a good month becomes a surplus you assign on purpose instead of spend by accident.
Tax reserve
Self-employed or 1099? Hold back a percentage of every deposit for taxes before you see it as spendable. The app tracks what you have set aside and the next quarterly due date, so April is not a surprise.
Shared expenses
Split expenses with a partner or roommate. Assign each bill to the right person and see who owes what, divided the way you actually split things.
The whole money picture
Net worth
Tracks accounts, savings goals, investments, and debt in one place. The single number you can answer with at the end of the year.
Investments
Track 401(k), Roth, brokerage, and other balances by hand, with optional monthly contributions. No live prices, no account linking, just the numbers you choose to enter. They roll into your net worth.
Savings goals
Set a target and a date. The app works out how much to move each pay period to land on time without rushing the last month.
Debt payoff
Add balances, pick avalanche or snowball, see your real payoff date. Minimum payments are added to your bills list automatically.
Envelopes
Spending limits on groceries, gas, dining. Tracks what is left each period so you know whether a Thursday takeout night still fits.
CSV import and export
Import bills or spending from a CSV. Bills go to the Bills tab, spending fills your Envelopes. Your CSV file is parsed on your device and never stored. Your budget data is saved to your account. Export your bills, income, and history back out anytime.
Built in
Learn
Plain answers to common money questions, built into the app. No jargon, no upsell, no scrolling past a 2,000-word SEO essay to get the answer.
Reminders
A checklist on Home for things you don't want to forget, a rate change, a call you owe, a renewal coming up. Add your own and check them off.
